The rad1o badge contains a full-featured SDR (software defined radio) half-duplex transceiver, operating in a **frequency range of about 50 MHz - 4000 MHz**, and is software compatible to the [[https://greatscottgadgets.com/hackrf/|HackRF]].[[hardware:overview|...continue]]

== Things to bring
* Micro USB cable
* OTG cable, if you would like to use the badge with your mobile phone ([[https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_Serial_Bus#USB_On-the-go|Wikipedia]])
* Portable Display Screen Equipment, ideally with [[:software|selected software]] pre-installed
* external power bank
* external antenna  ([[hardware|Antennas]])
* LEDs (WS2812B LEDs) (8 LEDs per badge, see [[Hardware#RGB LEDs]] for details)
* something to cover the light sensitive chip (the silver shiny bar below the display) on the display (e.g. a dark permanent marker, nail polish, or a dark sticker)
